This place was great. Didn't experience anything like the previous review. The Sushi Chefs were all Japanese including a few young and fun guys...they have great rolls like the Matsu roll which is my all time favorite. And it was so packed my friends and I sat in the bar until a seat was ready, but the bar is now our new girls night out hang out place There's really no comparison to other sushi restaurants in Encinitas, its in a league of its own with the location and menu options...but then, I hope it stays a secret longer so I don't have to worry about the wait

I thought the restaurant was very comfy and had a great view. The sushi wasn't that great though and that was disappointing considering the feel of the restaurant. The restaurant also smelled a little fishy. I would recommend station sushi for a really cool encinitas sushi vibe, or there is always samurai in solana beach which is excellent. Also, Miyabi restaurant just opened in encinitas and they make good sushi by some sushi chefs originally from japengo

Wonderful location and the sushi bar is just fabulous
